Ok here's another study with ya girl Tracy. Ngl this one was a pain to do mostly cuz of the angle of the forearms. As far as the arms go too, the forearms are what I have the least practice in, so i guess it was a challenge I needed. I sorta feel like I drew and stylized it well but I'm sure a more keen eye could tell me where/how I could improve. I think I should try and work on doing a study of the legs and/or back view next.

At some point if I have enough of the studies I might colleague them together and actually color them to post up on the art portal. I might even go back to the old ones i did and improve upon them with what i know about drawing muscles now.

Since the art portal's more suited for posting complete/full art pieces, imma see how well posting some of my sketches and occasional studies as a blog post goes. But anyways...

Here's a quick (if you can even call a 4-5 hour drawing quick) study I did last night. I sorta wanted to keep the angle and pose on the ref but ended up deviating from it for something more...fitting(?), lively(?) i unno, something more than what was just on the ref. For the most part I wanted to just match the anatomy of the forearms since that part trips me up a lot when I try to draw from memory. Buuut I think I did a pretty good job on it i'd say.

Little note i wanna toss up too, tbh i haaaate doing studies a lot of the times, they're so fuckin boring and tedious. So what I did was make an oc for the soul purpose of drawing her when I do anatomy studies. Having to draw out a whole ass character and keeping them on model does add more tasks to the process but tbh for me it helps over all for breaking the mind-numbing tedium of studies. Her name's Tracy and I've got a few more examples of her over on this post.
